I am trapped at my grandmother's house and they do not have FOX and the World Series is coming on. On one hand I like the Marlins and I want them to win, while on the other hand I hate baseball and a Yankees sweep would be horrible for baseball, much like the Cubs (ha ha) and Red Sox losing.

My mom said that we would eat at 3:00 PM and leave at around 5:00 PM. She is still eating right now and I should know what is going to happen when she says we will leave at a certain time. Worst of all, I am on dialup here which doesn't really affect anything all that much, it just makes me sad.

I just checked and there is another car parked behind us in the driveway and that is another thirty minutes or so.

Consider this my last will and testament: all my happiness can go to Ozzie, because of his horrible postseason and for not killing me when I made the fake Boston Globe page. Although it was very inspirational.

What was amet talking about when she said this to wolfpilot06? A death in the family? Her parents getting a divorce? Surviving some sort of clash with death?

No, the thing she's handling so well is ryutsuki being pissed off at her. WELL THANK GOD WE ALL GOT THROUGH THAT OKAY. Holy shit, people, I can't be the only one who thinks that this is either going beyond the bounds of reason to come up with a compliment she doesn't believe, or COMPLETELY REALITY-RAPING INSANE. There is little to no strength involved in this, posting a petulant reply somewhere where you can be sure to control whatever replies you get.

PROTIP: When your response is to shrug something off, it is generally best to not write a couple of paragraphs, which would indicate that your response is less along the lines of shrugging and more along the lines of being embittered.

PART 2

There are many layers of irony to elitist_whores. The first is the intended, which is that in response to being called elitist whores they accept the title with amused pride instead of anger. That's the one I guess they were trying to convey. The second layer of irony here is that, to my knowledge, nobody has called them "elitist whores," so they are declaring themselves to be elitist and whores without any real outside motivation. I'll admit, I've only done a cursory check that the words weren't used, but damned if I'm not going to search for crap that I don't think exists when somebody who disagrees will do that for me in order to prove me wrong.

Then, finally, we get to the irony that, in mocking the accusation of being elitist whores, they create a closed community called elitist whores that essentially makes them, beyond all shadow of a doubt, elitist whores. I'm sure there are other layers of fascinating hypocrisy and irony to be found here.

Because I'm stupid, that's why. I devote my entire evening to finding things to occupy myself with instead of going to bed at a reasonable time. It's a problem I have.

I'm told I don't update my livejournal enough. That has something to do with never having anything to update with. For God's sake, my topic of update here is how I don't update this thing. I mean, damn. I think I'm just going to go to bed and find something to occupy me there until I finally go to sleep at like 6:00. I need to write something. Maybe some sort of Legend of the Five Rings fiction, but I'll be damned if I really have any ideas.

Also, fuck you L5R for putting your Friday fiction up at like 4:00 AM on Saturday. Although I do love your fiction, you bastards. Oh well. Glad to see Bayushi Paneki make a brief cameo in today's. I heart Paneki.

This is why I don't update, by the way.

Oh, also: mad props to everyone who has the guts to actually be honest about your opinions. The Yami fandom pretty much scares me (in a bad way) except for you people.

I was in a car wreck yesterday morning. It was my fault, I was distracted and ran into the back of a truck at between 50 and 60 miles per hour. I went to the hospital, and they did x-rays and a CAT scan. Pretty much, I'm fine. My chest slammed into the steering wheel, which hurts like fuck, but other than that, I'm fine. Nothing in my chest was bruised, and nothing was broken except for the car. I'm pretty much staying doped up on painkillers now.

Feel free to call me, any of you who know my cell number. I'm doing just fine, and I'm really lucky.

I can't be one hundred percent sure, but I think that imbrii's latest update is about me and somebody else, who I will only refer to as "D. Winged Angel." I would like to take a few moments to comment on the things she said:

1) "I haven't named any names, but I'm sure the people will know I'm talking about them and have a nice, nasty retort for me."

-Please do name names in the future. I would like to be sure that I'm not claiming credit for somebody else being an asshole.

2) "It was stupid slander against a person I like and respect very much. The one(s) doing so, would not take kindly to a "STFU!!" and I didn't want to do something so coarse."

-Actually, I would have been fine if you had said, for example, "Shut the fuck up or take it to a PM or something." You may have noticed the parts where I apoligized for offending people when I realized that I was doing that? I don't apologize for anything I said, but I do apologize for kind of forcing it upon people who didn't want to hear it. Also, I'm fine with somebody disagreeing with me to my face.

3) "People have different opinions, and people have misunderstandings... don't take every fucking thing personally, people!"

-Honestly, if I was taking things personally, I would have said, "Oh heavens me, all this talk has given me the vapors!" and promptly passed out, as I am known to do. It was more of an issue of the person in question (Who we'll call amet) deciding that disagreement was a bad thing and not only stemming further discussion, but deleting all previous discussion so nobody could see a dissenting viewpoint. You know, the sort of thing a person might do if they were HITLER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!etc.

Long story short, I think amet is a jackass who proved to me three times in a matter of days that she embodies most of the qualities I do not like in a person. I would say this to her face, but this is the closest I can get. Also, I am so happy that I have finally gotten the recognition I deserve, but dismayed that my name was not included.

Well, amet has proved to me that I was too hard on darkwingedangel when the latter called the former a...I think the word was "dipshit." If there's one thing I hate, it's when people not only delete the contents of a discussion they fostered, but do so under the guise of "people aren't being nice!" I do not understand why people write fictions about Hisoka and Tsuzuki having a loving relationship. There is a term called "Tsusoka" which I do not like because it implies that an underaged person could be in a relationship with anything. By the way, Hisoka is sixteen, which qualifies as underaged. He is still not mentally or even completely physically mature--and he never will be the latter.

Also, if you think about his body being eternally frozen at age 16, there's a good chances his hormones are too. And having been a sixteen-year-old boy once, let me tell you that your brain can get kind of fucked up without constantly having sex with a man physically ten years your senior, physically. Not to mention being over seventy years(!) your senior otherwise. But hey, it's okay for there to be statuatory rape, because it's not mean-spirited rape, right? So the next time you write Tsusoka, think about whether or not you want to write about an older man having sex with a boy, and then wonder why it's better if the boy's willing.

In summary, amet is stupid and I don't believe a word of the shit I said in that rant. Which is why this is a formal apology to darkwingedangel for all the things I said about her behind her back before discovering I was talking to her sister.

Nor am I an artist, something which kinda pisses me off. I really wish that I had some sort of artistic talent, but really I just suck. Which is a shame, because I've had a great idea for a character, but it totally revolves around the visual. I have little concept as to what his personality would be like, because every time I think of it, I feel like I'm ripping off some character or another. It's kinda frustrating, but really the only way I could think about telling a story about him is via a comic format, because I've only thought about him in visual terms thusfar.

His name is Svatomir--thanks Onomastikon--and he's a Demon in this world that Jackson created. The gist of the world is that it's a somewhat generic fantasy-ish world, but it's races and such were created by an ancient progenitor race with two factions, known as Demons and Angels. Demons were into technology, cybernetics, etc., while the angels were all about genetics and magic. The two eventually went to war, engineering races to fight against each other. The war ended for whatever reason, and most of the Demons and Angels were dead, although some survived.

Anyway, Svatomir is a demon with a pair of huge mechanical wings, one of which has been destroyed. His body is covered with all sorts of metal plates and such serving one experiment or another, with the exception of his face. He usually wears leather wrappings, like a mummy, leaving only his hands and head exposed, in order to hide his distinguishing features. He wears robes or some sort of cloak over all of that, since the wrapping really makes a pretty poor normal dress. I also kinda thought of him as sorta having an older bishonen look with fairly long hair...the hair for Vaux Swift in the latest Clipped Wings is really the only example I can think of that looks like what I'd like him to wear.

Really, that's all I've thought of for him. The latest idea for his personality I've had is a devout Taoist, but that's really because I've been reading a little bit of the Tao Te Ching recently. It's quite good. Eastern philosophies have always kinda interested me. I need to read more in my copy of The Book of Five Rings and The Art of War. I wish the copy of the latter I own didn't have the comments from the other generals or masters or whatever they are, like Cao Cao. Also, I should really pick up a copy of The Analects sometime. I remember eag talking about back when she wrote Kagato fanfics, and I was interested, but I never got around to getting a copy, and forgot about it.

I really need to read more of the books I got for Christmas. I got a whole bunch of books like Walden, the Prince, and the Tao Te Ching, but I really haven't made any headway on them at all. I guess back in the day it was pretty cool to write as boringly and incomprehensibly as possible. Well, that doesnt' really go for the Tao, but oh well.

Dammit, now I want to find my copy of The Tao of Pooh and read it again. I think it's in my parents' room, though, and they're asleep.

Also, the space for text is too wide. I could change my style, but that would require work, and I honestly don't care too much about this blog. If I could take my style for the aborted experiment that was Penniless Hobo and put it here, I would. I really like that layout, although it could have used some graphical nicities. I would definitely be using it, too, if it had capabilities for the stuff that the LJ community does. For example, I can't very well add a friends page without a lot of work (and probably crime). Although, now that I think about it, something along those lines might be possible using RSS feeds and an RSS reader.

Huh. Maybe I will go back to Penniless Hobo. However, I might change the title to |Nothing|, because it's much more enigmatic and angsty, like "Frail Obscurity" or "Black Jesus." Also, I made a pretty graphic:

The subject pretty much sums up my thoughts on Equilibrium. The movie was so incredibly cool. If you liked The Matrix...hell if you like gun action movies in general, you should check out this movie. It has a very interesting plot that's kinda a cross between Farenheight 451 and 1984, but with more gunfights. The "Gun Kata" in it is amazingly cool.

Also, Fruits Basket is great.
